← Yeah, that's me.

Hello! My name is Andrew Chuang and I study Statistics and Machine Learning with an additional major in Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University.

I am passionate about stories and love learning more about the human experience. Though I no longer spend my afternoons laying tummy-up on the carpet indulging in articles from the Reader's Digest or historical atlases (#throwback to elementary school), stories are still a central part in who I am and what I learn. My background in Statistics enables me to see relationships between each story, each data point, whereas my additional major in Human-Computer Interaction allows me to use such stories to shape the designs and products I create.

When I am not working, hanging out with residents as a Resident Assistant, or helping out with campus entertainment as a member of the Activities Board, you can catch me:

  • 🍴 Trying/cooking new food: One of the best days in my life so far was being able to try food from the 45 best restaurants in Pittsburgh (s/o to the Pittsburgh Magazine and my manager for the ticket). Since I often lose track of time when it comes to anything food, feel free to hit me up with restaurant or recipe recs.
  • 🏃 Running: One of those "I like cardio" folks. I'm not fast by any means but the hillier the workout, the better.
  • 🗺 Exploring on Google Maps: Always on the lookout for local restaurants I should try, parks and places I should go...once Covid-19 is over.
